Nina trained at the renowned Bush Davies School, and was privileged to have been taught by the late Joyce Percy and Daphne Peterson, amongst others. Nina then went on to enjoy many years in show business, performing in numerous summer shows and pantomimes - many of which as Principal Dancer. She had a very long and successful dance partnership with Robert Marlowe and worked in television and film.
Nina has taught dance throughout her career, taking on the role of Principal of the Southsea School of Dancing when her mother, Audrey, passed away in 1991.
Nina holds ARAD status and is a registered RAD teacher. She also holds the Licentitate Diploma qualification of the ISTD, and is qualified to teach Classical Ballet, Tap, Modern and National dance.

Carol trained at the London College of Dance specialising in Dance Studies and Dance Teacher Training, where she was awarded the MacBeath Award for Most Promising Teacher.
After graduation she spent two years teaching in Canada as Head of Ballet in a large studio in Northern Ontario. On her return to the UK, Carol began teaching in a freelance capacity at some of the most respected schools in the Hampshire region.
She currently is responsible for teaching all of the modern classes at the Southsea School, in addition to the limbering classes and some of the Advanced level ballet.
Carol is fully qualified to teach Classical Ballet, Modern, Tap, National and has a special interest in Classical Greek Dance.
Carol holds the Fellowship qualification of the ISTD and is also an examiner for the Society. In addition to being the Vice-Chairman of the Classical Greek Dance Faculty she is also a representative on the ISTD Theatre Faculties Board. She is also an Approved Tutor for the DDI & DDE qualifications.
Carol is a regular lecturer at ISTD courses and ISTD Congress and is regularly invited to Guest Lecture throughout the UK & Europe.
Carol is married and lives in Portsmouth with 2 very fluffy cats(& one husband)!

Kasha has been with the school as a pupil, and now teaching since 1984, studying first under the founder Audrey Brown and now her daughter Nina, principle of Southsea School of Dance.
Kasha studied contemporary dance at college and is qualified as a YMCA fitness instructor. She completed her teacher training with Paddy Hurlings, head of the ISTD tap faculty.
She has been teaching the new tap syllabus for the school which she is thoroughly enjoying and is currently studying towards also being qualified in the Modern syllabus.
During the day Kasha works as an administrator for an estate agents and when not teaching she enjoys going to the gym, walking her dog Roxy and seeing friends.
